The Heart Behind the Flame at Jenire Designs

Hi, I’m Linda Sofia Ortiz, the hands and heart behind Jenire Designs. I’m a proud Puerto Rican woman, a Nana to two incredible granddaughters, and a small-town maker based in Sullivan County, New York.

What began as a simple love of candles has grown into a mission filled with family, resilience, and light. Each candle I pour is not just wax and fragrance — it’s a reflection of love, story, and hope.

My granddaughters are my greatest inspiration. My youngest, who is autistic, has taught me to slow down, to see the world with fresh eyes, and to embrace patience and creativity in new ways. My oldest fills my heart with laughter and joy, reminding me daily of the simple blessings of unconditional love. Together, they are my guiding lights — the reason I pour, create, and dream.

Every candle I craft carries a piece of this journey. At Jenire Designs, I believe candles are more than just scents — they are vessels of comfort, memory, and intention. The crackle of a wood wick, the glow of soy wax — each one is sustainably made, eco-friendly, and hand-poured with love.
